on August 19th and 20th, 2013. This high intensity two day event focuses on deploying, integrating, and using Google Apps for Education and other Google Tools to promote student learning in K-12 and higher education. The program features Google Certified Teachers, Google Apps for Education Certified Trainers, practicing administrators, solution providers, Google engineers, and representatives from the Google education teams.

Wow--so many great sessions! 
I need to thank you for big idea sessions which will fill my summer months with a lot of activity.

They were all so good!  Really.   I learned so much, and I thought all of the presentations were excellent.

It was great to put together a number of Google things I learned about - Sites, Forms, Scripts 
and see how it could be used for online professional development (and also student learning).  
Presenters were informative and gave time at the end to answer questions.

I use Google's search engine everyday, I love it and thought I knew a lot about it, 
but this taught me so much more about Google search... fantastic!  

I found a number of the sessions and presenters to be inspiring, informative, and transformative.  
I learned so much from each of them, and the passion with which they presented was infectious.

They had a vast amount of knowledge about using and managing Google Apps.  
They combined enthusiasm with expertise to deliver inspiring use cases 
that gave me ideas to put in to place immediately 
as well as long term attainable goals for our organization.

I attended sessions with dynamic presenters that motivated me to want to learn more. 
I came away with a plate full of ideas for today, this week, and the future. 
I especially appreciate the willingness of the presenters to talk between sessions.

There were several sessions that I choose that I really enjoyed and was able to take away something from all of them.  

Grounded in learning theory and exceptionally relevant...
a bit daunting at first, but, when explained, was ingenious and applicable.

It was not an information dump of things I could have found on my own through doing some Google searches.

So much knowledge and mastery of the different applications. 
Provided a variety of resources that I can use directly into planning and student learning. 

Inspired me to use these tools in my classroom to inspire student learning and growth. 

My friend and I arrived and were dumbfounded as to why the summit didn't provide a paper copy of the schedule - and no pens?  Wow, we wondered just who was presenting this summit?
By the end of day two we were laughing out loud at how naive we are regarding technology - these pen/paper carrying newbies left with our shoulders held high.  And the pen and paper was thrown out somewhere along Interstate 64 along with our old way of doing things!  Hello Google, Gmail, Google +, Twitter - we have arrived!
